Before you can really make a difference in your online presence there are a few fundamentals that you just have to get right. If you can’t get this first part right, it’s pointless pushing forward.

So over the course of the next few months, we are going to share some of the things that we have learnt and provide you with a further insight into SEO.

Content – Just how much?

In all honesty, there isn’t a hard and fast rule required on each page, but more doesn’t necessarily mean better because let’s face it, do you think someone is going to read all that content if they are looking for something specific from your website. Chances are NO with the exception of a website types (informational)

So look to aim for anything between 250-350 words and no less than 150 words per product page for e-commerce.  The real key is in the formatting of your text, lots of white spaces, short paragraphs and large font. Always think presentation! By the way, having more words isn’t going to be a disadvantage as it won’t hurt your rankings.
